Since 2010 the name BENU stands for the revival of the watch brand 
MORITZ GROSSMANN GLASHÜTTE I / SA. As the first hand-held watch of the young manufactory, BENU embodies both the watchmaking passion of a 
Moritz Grossmann and the elegance of its precision instruments as well as the conceptual requirements of the Grossmann watchmakers in the 21st century: innovative mechanics in traditional craftsmanship and with the latest techniques to exclusive fine-watchmaking compositions put.

The constant renewal and improvement is part of the Grossmannian heritage. Even the movement of the first BENU shows constructive innovations. 2013, the 
BENU Gangreserve presents itself with four additional innovations, which improve handling comfort and functional safety.

Movement Caliber 100.2
The movement caliber 100.2 of the BENU Gangreserve is the classic pier with a 2/3 plate, stepped balance cock and the fine regulation screw typical for Grossmann. The BENU Gangreserve combines the traditional characteristics of Grossmann watchmaking with modern elements of watchmaking and the distinctive features of the new brand:

Nomos investierte fünf Jahre und 11,4 Millionen Euro (!), Um einen eigenen Anker, Ankerrad und Balance-Frühling zu entwickeln. Der Frühling wurde gemeinsam mit Carl Haas in Deutschland entwickelt, ein Spezialist für Balance-Federn. Nomos arbeitete auch mit der Universität Dresden zusammen, um alle notwendigen Berechnungen im eigenen Haus durchzuführen.
